Our style

We love to create the opportunity for authentic smiles and natural reactions.
We would describe ourselves as documentary style with a twist.

Everyone expects the traditional formal shots.
Which as a photographer are still must get shots.
But we try to capture things as they happen. The twist part comes in with our hints and tips.
We do this so much, we may see opportunities for great shots, so we will ask if you want to do them!
When it comes to your couple photos, as you can see from our examples,
we always try to get you smiling.
You interact with each other through our prompts rather 'posing' in front of the camera
as probably 90% of the couples we speak to hate the camera!

Capturing Your Love Story

But we try and be as natural as possible, only providing hints & tips if opportunites present themselves.

We still do all the formal shots you and your families expect.

We actively encourage you to get to know us so you feel comfortable on your wedding day.

​

During the enquiry stage we're happy to meet at our local pub and have a drink and run through your wedding day (or zoom if that's more convenient!)

All our packages include a free engagement shoot in our local area, so you can also have a practice being in front of the camera.

​

And when it comes to being in front of the camera we know everyone usually hates it!

​So we developed a system called unposed.

We put you into positions so you're not completely free wheeling!

But then give you prompts and get you to laugh and interact with each other,

so all we're doing is capturing your natural reactions rather than fake smiles.

Count on us

As there's always two of us every angle is covered!

We are a father & son, but we are a family business so if anyones ever ill or unavailable, Rachel (daughter/sister) or Catherine (Matt's wife) is our back up so your wedding will always be covered by 2 people.

We use the latest mirrorless cameras, both are equipped with two memory cards so you can be sure your memories are safe!

Matt and John were the perfect photographers at our recent wedding. Not afraid to socialise and direct guests, but friendly and approachable. They were subtle in taking shots of the ceremony and reception, and personable when taking more intimate couple shots. Throughout the planning process they were always on hand for questions, and took a real interest in the day.

Matt and John were incredible! There are no words to thank them for being part of our wedding day. From start to finish they were dedicated, patient, organised and went above and beyond for us. We also hired their glitterbooth which went down very well with all the evening guests. We already know from the previews we have seen that the photos are going to be outstanding.
